Singer Rajesh Payal Rai released

KATHMANDU: Singer Rajesh Payal Rai has been released after being detained on allegations of public intoxication, following an altercation reported at around 2 p.m. at Madan Bhandari College premises in Kathmandu.

According to SSP Bhupendra Bahadur Khatri of Kathmandu Police Circle, Rai was handed to his family.

The police reported that Rai, along with two others, was arrested for causing disturbances and consuming alcohol.

In the future, Rai along with others involved, have been released under the condition that they refrain from engaging in such activities.

The police have informed that those detained have been counseled and made aware of the consequences of their actions.
