KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines’ (Widebody) flight from Kathmandu to Doha returns due to technical issue.

The Widebody A-330 aircraft, which departed on Thursday night, returned to Kathmandu due to technical problems.

Spokesperson for Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Subash Jha, informed that there was an issue with the hydraulic system of the aircraft, resulting in its return to Kathmandu.

He stated, ‘The Nepal Airlines A-330 aircraft had a normal takeoff from Kathmandu, but it set a record by returning to Kathmandu after flying 70 nautical miles.’

The flight number RA-239, bound for Doha, had 265 passengers onboard. It returned to TIA within 44 minutes of taking off from Kathmandu.

The aircraft landed in Kathmandu around 3 am.
