KATHMANDU: In preparation for the upcoming by-election in Ilam-2, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has unveiled the names of six potential candidates.

Bhumi Nanda Baral, the secretary of the party’s Election Commission, confirmed that the RSP plans to hold a primary election to determine the final candidate from this candidate pool.

The contenders slated to participate in the primary election include Gokul Bahadur Rai, Jamuna Sharma, Mahendra Kumar Thapa, Maan Bahadur Ghimire, Milan Limbu, and Shesraman Neupane Shrestha.

From these candidates, one will emerge as the chosen representative to contest the Ilam-2 by-election, scheduled to take place on April 27.
