Madhav Prasad Upadhyaya appointed as CEO of GBBL
Mr. Upadhyaya, who holds a postgraduate degree in management, has been actively involved in the establishment of Garima Bikas Bank since its inception and has served as the company secretary for the past 15 years, along with being the deputy chief executive officer for the last 11 years.
KATHMANDU: The board meeting of Garima Bikas Bank Limited, held on Wednesday, Chaitra 14 (March 27) at 4:00 PM, has appointed Mr. Madhav Prasad Upadhyaya as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for a four-year term starting from Baisakh 1, 2081 BS (13 April , 2024).
Mr. Upadhyaya, who holds a postgraduate degree in management, has been actively involved in the establishment of Garima Bikas Bank since its inception and has served as the company secretary for the past 15 years, along with being the deputy chief executive officer for the last 11 years.
Prior to entering the banking sector, he had a teaching career spanning approximately two decades.
With Mr. Govinda Prasad Dhakal’s term as CEO ending in Chaitra 2080 BS, and subsequently becoming vacant from Baisakh 1, 2081 BS (13 April , 2024), the decision to appoint Mr. Madhav Prasad Upadhyay as the DCEO was made during the board meeting.
Moreover, the same meeting also decided to appoint Mr. Anil Regmi, currently serving as the Assistant Chief Executive Officer, as the Company Secretary of Garima Development Bank, effective from Chaitra 15, 2080 BS.
Garima Bikas Bank Limited, headquartered in Lazimpat, Kathmandu, operates 123 branch offices and 1 extension counter nationwide, along with 51 ATMs, providing services to customers across 22 districts within and outside the Kathmandu Valley.
