KATHMANDU: During a recent session of the ongoing parliamentary meeting, the CPN-UML has once again raised three demands, pushing them ahead before addressing any other agenda.

Speaking at the assembly,  CPN-UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai demanded answers from the Prime Minister regarding the investigation report presented by the Balkumari Commission to clarify the government’s stance. “What does the report, as presented by the commission, entail? It is imperative that this matter is brought before the ongoing session of the parliament,” he asserted. “The Prime Minister must clarify this issue.”

Furthermore, referring to the incident cited in the report due to the actions of former Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Prakash Jwala, Bhattarai expressed his refusal to remain silent even after the mention of physical assault.

He also called for the resignation of Health and Population Minister Mohan Basnet over the TeraMax case and for Tourism Minister Sudan Kiranti’s resignation over the Lumbini land lease issue.

In Thursday’s parliamentary session, the CPN-UML reiterated its demand for the resignations of Health Minister Mohan Basnet, former Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala, and Tourism Minister Sudhan Kiranti in connection to the Balkumari murder case and irregularities in Lumbini land.
