KATHMANDU: The Koshi state government and identitarian have reached a consensus on five key points.

Following discussions on Friday, both parties agreed upon these five points, signifying a positive advancement in the negotiations, according to Kamal Prasad Jabegu, the coordinator of the negotiation committee and Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development.

Additionally, an agreement has been reached for the state government and identitarian to collaborate on initiatives aimed at fostering a conducive political atmosphere for the state’s renaming, aligning with constitutional provisions.

Minister Jabegu stated that the state government has agreed to engage in peaceful protests, provide free treatment to those injured during the protests, and resume discussions on Falgun 10 (Feb 22), as per the mutual agreement reached between both sides.
