Father accused of raping daughter & murdering son held, Nayaram was on the verge of entering India

KATHMANDU: A father accused of raping his daughter and murdering his son has been detained in Surkhet. On Thursday morning, the police nabbed him at Tikapur, Kailali.
The police have apprehended Nayaram Budha of Panchapuri Municipality-6 in Surkhet, who was escaping to India after murdering his son. He is accused of killing his 18-year-old son Bharat Budha with an ax on Magh 2 (Jan 16). Before that, he was accused of raping his own daughter.
Police Inspector Buddhi Subedi of the Federal Police Office, State Police Office Surkhet dispatched a team led by Senior Deputy Inspector Narayan Sharma to apprehend the elderly man who had fled the scene of the murder, while the District Police Office dispatched Police Constable Tikaram Acharya.
According to police reports, Nayaram, who was escaping to India, was apprehended near Lamkipur in Tikapur Municipality-1, Kailali.
During the initial statement, Nayaram said that his son had filed a police report against him and threatened to kill him.
The brother filed a police complaint against the father on the charge of raping his sister. The police speculated that he might have been killed for that reason.
