KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club won the Prime Minister’s Cup One Day National Cricket Tournament. Army won by defeating Koshi State by 9 wickets.

Chasing the target of 89 runs for victory, Army finished losing one wicket in 9.5 overs. Santosh Karki contributed 32 runs for Army. He scored 32 runs off 27 balls with 6 fours and 1 six.

Opener Imran Sheikh scored 32 runs off 25 balls with 5 fours and 1 six. Kushal Malla remained not out for 22 runs with 4 fours and 1 six off 7 balls. Koshi’s Sujan Thapaliya took one wicket.

Previously, Koshi, who was invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Mulpani Cricket Ground, lost all of his wickets in 24.4 overs and was reduced to 88 runs. Koshi captain Ankit Subedi scored 41 runs off 37 balls, including 9 fours.

Aside from that, none of Koshi’s other players managed to score in double figures.

Army’s Sahab Alam alone claimed six wickets. Kushal Malla claimed two wickets, while Sompal Kami and Vivek Yadav took one apiece.
