KATHMANDU: Resham Chaudhary has been elected unopposed as the President of Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP).

Chaudhury was the lone candidate for chairman and was elected unopposed.

Roshan Thapa advocated for Chaudhary, while Sanu Shakya supported him.

Chaudhary also serves as the party’s patron.

Although there are over a half-dozen nominees for president, general secretary, and other positions.

The convention will elect 33 office bearers, including one co-chairman, one general secretary, seven secretaries, seven vice-chairmen, seven joint secretaries, and one treasurer.
