Accident in Kanchanpur: wife dies, son & father injured
The victim, identified as 39-year-old Bhagirathi Awasthi from Bansaki-2 in Shuklaphanta Municipality, tragically lost her life in the accident.
KATHMANDU: In a devastating incident reported by the District Police Office, a fatal accident occurred in Shuklaphanta Municipality-11, Kaluwapur, Kanchanpur on Sunday. A bus collided with a motorcycle, leading to the untimely demise of a woman.
The victim, identified as 39-year-old Bhagirathi Awasthi from Bansaki-2 in Shuklaphanta Municipality, tragically lost her life in the accident.
The bus, bearing registration number Ma 1 Kha 935, collided with a motorcycle, with the registration number Sudur Pachim 01-009 Pa 1207.
The collision resulted in severe injuries to Awasthi, who was riding the motorcycle. She was rushed to Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi for medical treatment. Despite the efforts made in the course of her treatment, Awasthi succumbed to her injuries, leading to her unfortunate demise.
The grieving family of the victim, including her husband and 13-year-old son Balakrishna, has been deeply injured by the incident. While motorcycle driver Shivraj Awasthi and his son have been discharged after receiving medical care, the bus driver, 32-year-old Narendra Singh Bhandari from Dehimandu-2, Baitadi, has been taken into police custody for further investigation.
