KATHMANDU: The body that was found dead in a sack on Mangsir 6 (Nov 22) has not yet been identified.

Even though the District Police Office Chitwan has released sketches of the deceased for identification, the identification has not yet been completed.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijayraj Pandit, the office’s spokeswoman, while the ‘digital menu plate image’ has been made public, it has yet to be recognized.

Two bodies were discovered inside a jute bag beneath the culvert of the Kerunga ghol (river) of the Gondrang Central Bus Terminal (Buspark) road part of the East-West Highway in Ward No. 12 Milanchowk, Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

The bodies of a 25-year-old male and a 30-year-old woman are soon to be identified by authorities.

He stated that there was an issue with the investigation of the incident since the dead corpse had not been identified.

He went on to say, “Without identification, it is difficult to reach the culprit of the incident.”

Police have issued identification notifications to 77 districts.
