Normal rain, chance of snowfall in high mountain areas

KATHMANDU: The Water and Weather Forecasting Division has said that the influence of western winds is currently in the western part of the country.

Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki States are experiencing partial to normal weather changes, with some areas in Lumbini State witnessing moderate rain in the morning.

The division predicts that the weather will return to normal in the hilly areas of the country, including Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki States, by this afternoon.

Similarly, there is a possibility of light rain with lightning at some places in the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali State. There is a possibility of snowfall in one or two places of high hills and Himalayan areas.

Similarly, tonight there is a possibility of light snowfall in some parts of the high hilly and Himalayan areas of the country, the department said.
