MoU between IME & Astra Tech’s Botim technologies to promote digital remittance services

KATHMANDU: An agreement has been established to send cash and promote digital remittance services in Nepal using the Botim Ultra app marketed by Astra Tech, a renowned remittance service provider in Nepal, which operates in 155 countries including IME and the Middle East.

According to the agreement, both companies will work together to promote digital remittances by sending money directly to IME’s digital wallet IME Pay via the popular Botim Ultra app, which is regulated by the UAE Central Bank.

Paudel, the chief executive officer of IME, stated that through this strategic collaboration, digital financial inclusion will be greatly supported in the digital transformation of business, as well as in achieving IME’s goal of providing financial services to IME’s customers based on cutting-edge information technology.

Astra Tech Chief Business Officer Mark Michel said, “We are excited about the partnership with IME Nepal and mentioned that it is an important step to make financial services more accessible to everyone.
