KATHMANDU: The CPN-S’s affiliated student group, ANNFSU, held a memorial service at Tikapur Multipurpose Campus in Kailali in honour of Nepali students who died in Israel.

Madhav Kumar Nepal, the party’s president and former prime minister, conveyed his sympathies to the grieving families and paid passionate tributes to the fallen students during the condolence meeting.

He pledged that the party was pained by the deaths of the students who had gone to study there through the ‘Learn and Earn Program’ at Sudurpaschim University’s Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, and that they now had to put an end to the condition of going overseas like this.

Aarati Lama, Chair of ANNFSU, emphasized that this situation has arisen as the government has not been able to create an environment for earning and studying in Nepal and that such a situation must be ended in the future.

Sudurpaschim University Faculty of Agriculture Sushil requested the party leadership to provide relief to the families of the deceased students. He also demanded to play a diplomatic role for the safe rescue of Bipin Joshi, who is under the control of Hamas rebels.

Central office member Milan Rai informed that ANNFSU, participating in the Mechi-Mahakali Socialist Awakening Campaign of their mother party, organized a condolence meeting at Tikapur Multipurpose Campus during the campaign.
