KATHMANDU: The MCC broadcasting line tender has been canceled.

The tender was terminated after the minimum cost was found to be 61 percent more than MCA Nepal’s expected cost.

The tender for the building of the transmission line under the MCC project was opened on the Jestha 8 (May 22) in the contract procedure, which was divided into three lots.

MCA Nepal estimates that the transmission line will cost $226 million dollars to build.

The minimum bid amount, however, reached 365.9 million dollars.
