KATHMANDU: The National Assembly has formed a draft committee to amend the National Assembly Rules 2075.

The National Assembly convened a 12-member draft committee on Friday to revise the National Assembly Rules 2075.

Anita Devkota, Khimlal Devkota, Jitendra Narayan Dev, Tul Prasad Bishwakarma, and Dilkumari Rawal Thapa Parbati are members of the committee.

Members have also included Bhairav Sundar Shrestha, Madan Kumari Shah Garima, Mahesh Kumar Mahara, and Mohammad Khalid. Similarly, the drafting committee included Dr. Bimala Rai Paudyal, Shekhar Kumar Singh, and Suresh Kumar Ale Magar.

The draft committee has highlighted the challenges in the National Assembly Rules 2075 governing the operation of the Assembly and Committees in order to conduct the National Assembly and Committees in an orderly way. The committee is said to choose a chair from among its members and to make the procedure. The draft committee’s working session has been extended till Poush 14 (Dec 30).

Dilkumari Rawal Thapa Parbati, Chairperson of the National Concerns and Coordination Committee, presented the annual report of the National Concerns and Coordination Committee 2079-80 in the meeting.
