KATHMANDU: The government has formed a negotiation team to negotiate with the agitating local level employees.

A 4-member negotiation team has been formed under the coordination of Joint Secretary Kamal Prasad Bhattarai, who is also the spokesperson of the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.

“Under my coordination, a negotiation team of Joint Secretary Narayan Aryal, Deputy Secretary of Law Tank Bahadur Mahat and Deputy Secretary of Administration Khilraj Rai has been formed,” said Bhattarai.

Bhattarai stated that the negotiation team has planned for a maximum of 5-5 delegates from the central struggle committee of the protesting local level employees and employee trade unions to attend the discussions.

Local level employees, who began a street protest on Ashoj 15 (Oct 2) as their demands were not met in the Federal Civil Service Act, have put their pen down since Ashoj 19 (Oct 6).
