Local-level employees protest on despite rain (photos)

KATHMANDU: Expressing dissatisfaction with the Federal Civil Service Bill, the local level employees have protested.

Employees began protesting, requesting that certain aspects of the measure be changed.

On Monday, they demonstrated by tying black bandages on their hands at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu.

Employees on protesting have asked that the Unified Civil Service Act be implemented rather than the Federal Civil Service Act.

The Central Struggle Committee of Local Level personnel has proposed that local service personnel be granted trade union rights and that the chief administrative officer be assigned to the local service.
