KATHMANDU: Prabhuram Sharma, Chief of Staff of the Nepali Army, has left for India.

Commander-in-Chief Sharma arrived in Delhi on Sunday to attend the Thirteenth Army Chiefs Conference, which will be held in New Delhi from Monday to Wednesday.

According to the Directorate of Military Public Relations and Information, the Commander-in-Chief was said farewell at Tribhuvan International Airport by Chariot Saroj Pratap Rana.

A regiment of the army paid tribute to Chief of Army Staff Sharma today at Jangi Adda before departing for India.

In the absence of Commander-in-Chief Sharma, Lieutenant general Saroj Pratap Rana will take over the duties of Commander-in-Chief permanently.

After the visit, Commander-in-Chief Sharma will return to the country on Ashoj 11.
