KATHMANDU: Despite the government’s agreement on six points with the teachers who came to Kathmandu to oppose the school education bill, teachers who are denied relief and pensions have continued to protest, as have teachers who belong to the secondary teachers’ union.

Teachers, including Rahat, are continuing their strike, claiming that their demands have yet to be met.

They also demonstrated at Maitighar Mandala on Sunday, expressing their discontent with the federation’s deal with the government on Friday.

They protested with the demands that relief teachers should be stabilized, teachers deprived of pension should be provided with pension according to the Education Act 2082, ECD teachers should be made permanent and all teachers should be provided with pension.
