KATHMANDU: Last night in Gairigaun, 32 Tinkune, within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, a distressing revelation unfolded as it was disclosed that three out of the four individuals who lost their lives shared familial ties.

The lifeless bodies of two men and two women were discovered within the confines of Divya Sawmill, a single-story wooden structure with a zinc roof located in Tinkune.

As stated by Senior Superintendent of Police Dineshraj Mainali, the spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, this heartbreaking incident involves three victims from the same family.

Those killed inside the Dibya Sawmill are Kumar Bhujel, 56, of Dolakha and currently working as a gatekeeper in the sawmill, his wife Ambika Bhujel, 52, Kumar’s mother, Shubhadra Bhujel,76, and Nabin Rai, age 20, originally from Belbari in Morang.

Mainali also informed that the bodies were found with injuries from sharp weapon on different parts of their bodies including the head.

Currently, the police are also carrying out the investigation with trained dogs.

The Dibya Sawmill is owned and operated by Balkrishna Siwakoti, a resident of Kalinchowk Rural Municipality-8, Dolakha, and currently living in Guashala, Kathmandu.

Mainali informed that the body has been sent to the teaching hospital in Maharajgunj for autopsy.

Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office and District Police Complex Kathmandu team are investigating the incident.
