KATHMANDU: An armed police officer has been discovered to be causing a nuisance in Kailali.

On Tuesday night, armed police officer Parshu Magar caused a nuisance.

Magar, who had been drinking, arrived at a woman’s home in Chure Rural Municipality ward number 4 Baluwagada that night. He broke into the home of a woman who was alone at night.

He is alleged to have returned home on leave while Magar was stationed in Chitwan.

According to the authorities, Magar followed the woman who had returned home after the Teej event and pushed her to unlock the door, claiming that they would have ‘romantic’. After that, the woman summoned her relatives, and Magar fled.

Later, a complaint was filed with the police, and they negotiated an agreement. Their accord was made at the Chaumala police station.

The person in charge SP Ram Singh Bohara said that a resolution was reached with both parties’ approval.

The armed officer expressed regret about the arrangement.
