KATHMANDU: Around 700 Bangladeshi visitors arrived in Nepal for the first time.

According to the Tourism Board, 700 Bengali tourists would arrive in Nepal on the 1st and 2nd of Bhadra (Aug 18-19) on different flights.

In addition, the tourism board has greeted the first batch of Bangladeshi tourists entering Nepal by playing Panche Baja (folk instruments).

In the first lot, about 250 tourists landed at Tribhuvan Airport at 11:30 am on Friday.

The first group of aircraft came from Bangladesh.

Other groups will arrive today evening by Himalaya Airlines, and two charter aircraft will come tomorrow via Bangladesh, according to the tourism board.
