The problem of unethical intents by political leaders in the building industry: Chair Singh

KATHMANDU: The builders protested saying that they had to suffer the problems of the builders due to the wrong intentions of the political leadership.
Even on Thursday, Nepali construction businessmen complained about the government leadership’s bad intentions and the violence of their personnel.
They assembled at the Federation of Nepal Construction Professionals office, marched to the Parliament building, and staged a sit-in in Maitighar.
The construction specialists stated on the show that the government must fix the mistakes committed by the previous administration in order for the country to flourish.
They cautioned that if projects that cannot be budgeted are not scrapped, the migration of construction professionals in the country will worsen.
Speaking at the event, Rabi Singh, president of the Federation of Nepal Construction Professionals, said that the frequent revisions of public procurement regulations have caused problems in infrastructure development. He accused the government of only creating an illusion that the builders did not work by showing the builders.
He said that due to the wrong intentions of the political leadership and the bureaucracy under the pressure of the political leadership, the construction workers had to suffer the problems caused by the unnecessary misdeeds they did to survive. He warned the government not to destroy the construction industry.
He said, ‘repeated amendments to the public procurement regulations have caused problems in infrastructure development. It has only created the illusion that the builders did not work for the builders. That is not the reality. We have to inform everyone. Due to the wrong intentions of the political leadership and the bureaucracy coming under the pressure of the political leadership, unable to withstand their unnecessary pressure to survive, it has called for a tender to stay in office. Don’t let construction professionals be crushed.’
They demonstrated with placards in hand.
