Japan trounces Spain 4-0 to top Group C at Women’s World Cup

KATHMANDU: Japan has won in the Women’s World Cup 2023 Group ‘C’. Japan scored an easy 4-0 win over Spain on Monday.

Japan’s goals came from Hinata Miyazawa, Riko Ueki, and Mina Tanaka.

Both teams have already advanced to the competition’s last 16 after winning two consecutive matches. Japan won all of the group-stage competitions for the third time in a row.

Spain came in second place with six points. Zambia defeated Costa Rica 3-1 in another group match.

This is Zambia’s first win in the World Cup.

With this, he got three points. Costa Rica was limited to zero points.
