New Zealand knocked out, Swiss & Norwegian teams in the knockout stage

KATHMANDU: The unlucky side to exit the league stage was the New Zealand Women’s World Cup 2023.

Switzerland and Norway made it to the final 16 despite the absence of co-hosts New Zealand from Group A’.

Switzerland held New Zealand to a goalless draw on Sunday. In the next match, Norway easily beat the Philippines 6-0.

Ramen Haig scored a hat-trick. Switzerland finished first in the group with five points from three games.

Norway and New Zealand were next with four points each. Norway came in second place based on goal differential.
