Nigeria’s sensational victory over Australia

KATHMANDU: Nigeria won the Women’s World Cup 2023 on Thursday with a thrilling 3-2 win over hosts Australia.

Nigeria scored a remarkable victory despite trailing by one goal.

Van Egmond’s goal put Australia ahead. Nigeria then scored through Kanu, Ohale, and Oshoala. Alan Kennedy scored for Austria in the end of the game.

Nigeria has also claimed the lead in the group with their victory. Nigeria now has four points.

Canada is four points behind him in second place. Australia currently has three points and will play Canada. Ireland has no points.
