One arrested for possession of suspicious object in Sinamangal

KATHMANDU: A person was detained in Sinamangal for leaving suspicious objects on the road in front of a gold business.

Khajanchi Paswan of Rautahat was caught by police while hiding in a hotel near the gold shop on the accusation of harbouring suspicious object in the gold shop at Khotang Halesi Jewellers, Sinamangal.

Paswan has been transported to the Gaushala police circle.

The proprietor of the gold business, Mane Biswakarma, told police that he frequently contacted him and threatened to plant a bomb if he did not pay Rs 5 million.

The suspicious object was discovered to not be a bomb. The object has already been disposed of by the Nepali Army’s bomb disposal unit.

A brochure with the coordinator Sufal’s name was posted on the shop’s shutter.
