KATHMANDU: One more child died in a jeep accident that occured last night in Kushma Municipality-3 Durlung of the district.

A four-year-old boy, Prince Chhetri, who was seriously injured in a car accident, died this morning while undergoing treatment at the Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara, according to District Police Office Parbat.

Sheetal BK, a seven-year-old girl, died in an accident earlier this year, and 11 people were injured. Last night, a jeep (Ga 1 Ja 5229) traveling from Kushma market in Parbat to Durlung was involved in an accident at Goudamuni in Durlung.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhusudan Neupane, seven individuals were injured in the accident and were sent to Pokhara for further treatment. According to him, Shaurav BK, Shanti BK, Amar BK, and Nishan Pariyar are among those injured in the accident and are being treated at the mountain hospital.

The other injured are Krishna Prasad Padhya, Hiradevi Magar, Min Bahadur Kshetri, Chandrakala Kshetri, Amrit Kshetri and Bhabadatta Sharma who are being treated at Gandaki Medical College in Pokhara, Deputy Superintendent of Police Neupane informed.

He said that the accident occurred when the tires of the passenger-carrying jeep blew out and the brakes failed.
