KATHMANDU: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced the initial team to play World Cup Qualifiers.

Head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese has announced the names of the initial 30 players who will play in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

The goalkeepers of the initial team are Kiran Kumar Limbu, Anish Deuja, Deep Karki, and Abhishek Baral. The defenders are Bimal Pandey, Sanish Shrestha, Anant Tamang, Debendra Tamang, Ashish Gurung, Rohit Chand, Simant Thapa, Anjal Maharjan, Chiring Lama and Anjan Rai.

Similarly, the midfielders include Arik Bista, Sudeep Gurung, Laken Limbu, Abhash Lamichhane, Utsav Rai, Bishal Tamang, Bivek Paudel and Kritish Ratna. Similarly, the forwards include Aayush Ghalan, Nawayug Shrestha, Anjan Bista, Manish Dangi, Aashish Chaudhary, Bimal Gharti Magar, Gillespye Jung Karki and Dinesh Heinjan.

According to ANFA, the players will begin closed training on August 1. Nepal has just returned from competing in the SAFF Championship. Former runner-up Nepal was eliminated from the tournament’s group round.

Nepal will now play in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers after finishing the SAFF Championship.
