India & Kuwait in the final of SAFF Championship

KATHMANDU: India has qualified for the SAFF Championship finals. After overcoming Lebanon in the second semi-final on Saturday, India clinched their meeting with Kuwait in the final.

India won the penalty shootout 4-2 over Lebanon. The match was determined in a penalty shootout after the game finished in a goalless draw. On Tuesday, India will face Kuwait for the SAFF championship.

Two teams from outside South Asia, Lebanon and Kuwait, participated in the SAFF Championship.

Kuwait has already qualified for the championship after defeating Bangladesh 1-0.

Former runner-up Nepal was eliminated from the tournament’s group competition.
