KATHMANDU: Sunrise Bank has introduced a service that allows users to deposit cash and checks directly from the ATM.

The bank established this facility with the goal of offering its customers the most banking services and facilities possible via digital means.

Suman Sharma, the bank’s CEO, unveiled the new services during an event on Thursday.

In order to provide new service options, the bank has installed a cash deposit machine where consumers can deposit cash into their own or other customers’ bank accounts.

Customers can deposit cash directly from the machine using their account number without filling out any physical forms or requiring the assistance of bank personnel, and the money is placed into their account immediately.

Customers can also deposit clearing cheques themselves at any time using the KIOSK machine, without the help of bank personnel.

Cheques will be deposited using either conventional or express clearing, depending on the customer’s preference.

Customers can also use this KIOSK machine to obtain account balances, account information, mini statements, and statement prints.

For the time being, the bank has implemented a Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) service in its Gairidhara branch, as well as a Cheque Deposit Kiosk service in its Gairidhara and Newroad branches, with plans to expand these services to other branches in the near future.

Sunrise Bank is always striving to provide modern and innovative services.

Bank CEO Sharma said that by using such new systems, the current situation of having to fill in physical forms and standing in line at the bank counter to receive services such as cash and cheque deposit will be ended and customers will be provided with easy facilities.
