Two dies in bus-car collision

The car driver, Subash Adhikari of Gorkha, Aappipal, and 54-year-old Dr. Sanju Khati Khadka of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan-5, Rupandehi died in the accident.

KATHMANDU: Two people died in an accident today near Thudia river in Rapti-Sonari Rural Municipality-8 of Banke.

According to the local police office in Kohalpur, Banke, two persons were killed on the spot when a bus (ME 1 Kha 3335) traveling east from Dhangadhi collided with a car (Ba 13 Cha 8253) traveling from Kathmandu to Kohalpur.

The car driver, Subash Adhikari of Gorkha, Aappipal, and 54-year-old Dr. Sanju Khati Khadka of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan-5, Rupandehi died in the accident, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sundar Tiwari of Area Police Office, Kohalpur.

The police have seized the bus. It is said that the incident is being investigated.
