Sajha Yatayat’s three electric buses begin services (photos)

KATHMANDU: Three more Sajha Yatayat electric buses have brought into service from Monday.

Three of the 37 electric buses imported from China six months ago are now in service.

Since Monday, the buses have been running on the Patandhoka-Ratnapark-Gyaneshwor-Ratopul-Gaushala-Chabhil-Bouddha-Jorpati-Dakshindhoka route, according to Sajha.

The imported buses are ready to be tested and put into service gradually.

According to Mahendra Raj Pandey, General Manager of the cooperative, the company expects to run 15 electric buses on this route in the future.

“We have got route licenses for three buses,” he said, “Now we are gradually starting our services through electric buses.”
