Manakamana Cable Car to be closed on by-election day

KATHMANDU: The Manakamana Cable Car will be closed on Baisakh 10 (April 23).

Mankamana Darshan Pvt Ltd has informed that the cable car from Kurintar in the district to the famous Shaktipith Mankamana in Gorkha district on the day of polling in Chitwan Constituency No. 2 will be closed on the day of voting as the crowd will increase and security will be more sensitive.

The Cable Car service will be halted in preparation for the by-elections, according to a request made by the District Administration Office Chitwan.

The Manakamana Cable Car’s bottom stop is in Chitwan’s Kurintar Area No. 2.

Private Limited has informed that the cable car will resume operation from 11th Baisakh (April 24).
