KATHMANDU: Avasar Equity Limited, a Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON)-licensed Private Equity and Venture Capital Fund Manager, announced the completion of its NPR 4.50+ Billion inaugural fund, Avasar Equity Diversified Fund (“the Fund”), Nepal’s first domestic Private Equity Fund registered with SEBON under the Specialized Investment Fund Regulation, 2019.
Despite difficult market conditions, the maiden fund has received a resounding response from its investors.
The Fund’s successful close marks an important turning point in Nepal’s Private Equity and Venture Capital industry.
The Fund will provide much-needed capital to improve the performance and unlock the value of Nepalese businesses that have the potential but lack the resources to put their growth plans into action.
The Fund will seek to invest in high-growth companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing and processing, financial services, technology, energy, real estate, logistics, health, education, and tourism.
