KATHMANDU: Nepal has won the Prime Minister Three Nations Cup football tournament, which was held on Friday evening at Dashrath Stadium.

Manish Dangi scored in the 87th minute, giving Nepal a 2-1 victory.

Nepal and Laos were tied 1-1 at the half in the final match.

Phoutthavong of Laos scored in the 17th minute of the game, giving Laos a one-goal lead. Aayush Ghalan scored in the 24th minute of the game to tie the game at 1-1.

The title was contested by Nepal, which was undefeated in the league stage, and Laos, which finished second in the league stage and confirmed the final with Nepal.

Nepal won the title with the help of home fans, defeating the lower-ranked Laos.

Nepal won 5000 US dollars as the competition’s winner. Laos, the runner-up, received $3,000 as well.

Bhutan, Nepal, and Laos competed in the Prime Minister’s Three Nations Cup football tournament.
