Pashupatinath area has historical, religious significance: President Poudel
He said that in Pashupati area, it is necessary not only to go to worship in the temple, but also to build and organize gardens for rest after worship.
KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Poudel has said that it is necessary to develop the Pashupatinath complex as an important destination for religious and other tourists.
He said this while speaking at the program of handing over the Bankali garden, which is being built and managed in memory of Jagatguru Shri Kripaluji Maharaj by Sri Radha Madhav Samiti Nepal in Pashupati region on Thursday to Pashupati Area Development Fund.
He said that in Pashupati area, it is necessary not only to go to worship in the temple, but also to build and organize gardens for rest after worship.
He said that promoting and managing the Pashupati region will help Nepal’s economic development through religious tourism.
President Poudel said that it is necessary to develop and protect many gardens and waiting rooms for devotees in the Pashupati area.
He said that when a large master plan is developed for the development of Pashupati area and it is carried out as a project of special importance, it is necessary to organize basic and essential services including clean drinking water, organized toilets, parking places, internet, information and security of the belongings of devotees.
