KATHMANDU: KP Sharma Oli, chair of the CPN (UML), has expressed sorrow over the passing of senior radio operator Krishna Tamrakar.

He tweeted today and expressed his grief over the death of Tamrakar.

In a tweet, Chair Oli stated, “Krishna Tamrakar, an iconic voice in Nepali radio history, had the chance to honor her a few days ago.” The news of her death makes me very sad.

Tamrakar, 86, who was suffering from pneumonia, passed away on Thursday night.

Tamrakar joined Radio Nepal in 2018 BS and remained employed there until 2049 BS. She hosted a variety of well-known programs for Radio Nepal, including Naso, Hamro Deshko Mato, Hamro Ban Hamro Jeevan, and others.

She has an incomparable contribution in radio journalism.
