KATHMANDU: The ban on Shree Airlines flights has been lifted by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

Following a technical safety check of the plane on the airline’s flight on Friday, the authority’s technician decided to lift the barred on flight.

The authority instructed Shree Airlines not to fly until the engine safety check was completed on Friday morning.

According to Jagannath Niraula, the authority’s spokesperson, the airline’s flights have been canceled in order to implement the authority’s recommendations. “The Shree Airlines flight has been cleared, but only on the condition that the airline implement a safety management system and follow the issues and recommendations of the authorities following the technical inspection,” he said.

Shree Airlines’ manager, Anil Manandhar, stated that regular flights will resume today after the company received permission to fly again from the authorities.

Manager Manandhar stated that the authority’s expert team had studied the technical examination, engineering operation, company safety and financial status, and administrative capacity of all ships in flight.
