KATHMANDU: Eight people were injured when a gas cylinder exploded in Sunsari’s Dharan.

The condition of 4 people injured in the explosion on Monday evening is critical.

In the blast, 27-year-old Sabita Rai of Dharan 17, 22-year-old Sonika Rai, 42-year-old Anjana Rai of ItahariSub-Metropolitan-5, their mother Ramkumari Rai, 66, are in serious condition.

Similarly, Anjana’s 8-year-old son Sanken Rai and 10-year-old daughter Sunihang Rai, 19-year-old Anish Karki of Dharan 11 and 18-year-old Basudev Khadka of Siraha Bandipur were injured, DSP Nawraj Malla of Area Police Office Dharan informed.

There was a gas leak while connecting the gas. Koshi gas called the gas employee to make gas.

Koshi Gas summoned the gas employee to make gas. The police reported that the explosion occurred at the same time.

All of the injured are being treated at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
