Crowds gathered to welcome actor Paul Shah
Security has been tightened following the crowd of supporters.
KATHMANDU: Fans of actor Paul Shah have flocked to Damauli to welcome him.
A crowd gathered to welcome him as he was about to be released after being acquitted of child abuse by the Pokhara High Court.
After Shah’s acquittal and release from the custody of District Police Office Tanhun, his supporters reached Damauli.
Security has been tightened following the crowd of supporters.
Despite a rape complaint from a minor, the Nawalpur district court found him guilty of child sexual abuse. However, Paul Shah was acquitted after the Pokhara High Court overturned the district court’s decision.

According to Paul Shah’s lawyer, Kamala Mohan Wagle, Shah will be released today after being fully acquitted of all charges.
On Sunday, a bench of Justices Dilliraj Acharya and Sridhara Kumari Pudasaini ruled that Shah should be acquitted of the charges.
Shah will be released today as the necessary procedures were postponed due to the end of business hours on Sunday.
