Paul Shah hearing case today in Pokhara High Court

KATHMANDU: The writ petition filed in Pokhara High Court by actor Paul Shah seeking acquittal against the decision of District Court Nawalpur is being heard today.

Despite being acquitted of minor rape, the Nawalpur district court sentenced Paul to two and a half years in prison for child sexual abuse.

Paul has filed an appeal in the High Court, requesting that the verdict be overturned.

The public prosecutor, on the other hand, has filed a writ petition in the High Court, claiming that he cannot be acquitted in the case of coercion.

Today, the Pokhara High Court will hear both petitions concurrently.
