KATHMANDU: Journalist Manoj Hitanga has died in a road accident that took place at Milanchowk in Butwal last night.

The accident took place when the motorcycle (Lu 8 Pa 9068) he was riding collided with a passenger bus (Supapra 07-02-001 Ba 1256) coming from the opposite direction.

The 37-year-old journalist was seriously injured in the accident and died during treatment at Lumbini State Hospital, Spokesperson of Traffic Police Office Lumbini, Hom Bahadur Thapa said.

Hitanga was recently working as a correspondent in the Lumbini regional office of the state-owned Nepal Television.

A permanent resident of Tansen Municipality in Palpa, he was presently living in Buddhanagar of Butwal.
