KATHMANDU: The fourth generation mobile service 4G has entered in the district’s remote village of Khanigaun.

Nepal Telecom has launched 4G service in Ward No. 6 of Dhorpatan Municipality, one year after expanding 2G and 3G services.

Since the service’s inception, nearly 200 additional households in Khanigaun, Khibang, Khoria, Thamka, and Chamiduwar have benefited directly. According to Nepal Telecom, 4G service is now available from a 12-meter-tall tower on a hill above the village.

The operation of 4G service has made it easier for the village’s residents to access the internet via mobile data. Previously, the residents of that village had to rely on the postman and katwal for information and communication.

Communication with the locals was difficult due to a lack of mobile service in the geographically remote village. After the availability of mobile service, the compulsion to reach the relevant location to share information, information, or to tell relatives and to do government work has vanished.

Locals who previously relied on slow internet now have access to high-speed 4G service, after the tower’s installation..

According to Keshav Sharma, chief and senior engineer of Nepal Telecom Baglung, 4G service has been resumed in Khanigaun, as Nepal Telecom is rapidly expanding its service expansion and upgrading work throughout the country, giving priority to difficult and remote settlements in accordance with the goal of creating digital Nepal.

He stated that voice and data were simultaneously operated through 2G and 3G for the purpose of providing mobile service in remote and difficult settlements, and that the fourth generation 4G service is now being operated.

“We were able to connect citizens who were far away from internet access to internet access after the 4G mobile service was launched in the remote and remote areas of the district,” Sharma said.

There was no network in this village before, there was a problem with signal coverage in most areas, so we conducted a technical study and built a tower on the hill to cover all the settlements and areas, and now we have high speed mobile internet and quality voice calls with the aim of providing timely service to the customers. According to Sharma, the head of the office, 4G was conducted.

Resham Budha Magar, a social worker, reported that telecom has built a permanent structure in collaboration with local residents and is providing mobile service.

He stated that now that the fourth generation 4G mobile service is operational, it is simple to use the Internet on mobile phones via online.

Telecom has completed the 4G service in Khanigaun, with the goal of extending the service to areas where it is not currently available and upgrading the service as needed.

The villagers faced numerous challenges as a result of the geographical difficulty and lack of communication services; however, the villagers are now relieved to be able to talk on the phone and access high-speed internet on their mobile phones.
