All three constituencies of Kaski are in favor of UML, 2 seats of SA are for NC

KATHMANDU: Man Bahadur Gurung of the UML has been elected to the House of Representatives from Kaski Constituency No. 1. He paved the way for his election to the Federal Parliament by defeating Nepali Congress candidate Kishorea Dutta Baral (NC).

Gurung secured 25,708 votes, while Baral obtained 23,189.

In addition, UML has won all three members of Kaski’s House of Representatives. In Constituencies 2 and 3, Bidya Bhattarai and Damodar Poudel Bairagi were victorious. In the State Assembly, the UML has four seats and the NC has two (SA).

UML’s Khagraj Adhikari won in 1(a), Bed Bahadur Gurung in (b), Bhim Karki in 2(a) and Ganeshman Gurung in 3(a).

Bindu Kumar Thapa of NC won in Kaski 2 (B) and Prakash Baral of NC won in 3 (B).

Baral defeated incumbent MP Rajeev Pahari of UML, while Thapa of 2(B) was elected for the second time.
