BIRATNAGAR: After CPN-UML candidate Jaya Prakash Chaudhary was elected from Morang Constituency No. 4 (1), his opponent, Nepali Congress candidate Gururaj Ghimire, stated that he would value the people’s feedback.

He declared that the people are God and that he will respect the people’s votes and support the elected Chaudhary.

He claimed that Chaudhary had recently won according to the wishes of the youth and that Ghimire had learned from his defeat. “We must accept victory and defeat with ease,” he said, adding that “I will assist Chaudhary in the state assembly based on my experience and knowledge.” He wished Chaudhary all the best in his efforts to provide effective leadership. Chaudhary, who was elected, stated that Ghimire would serve as his guardian.

During his five-year tenure, Chaudhary stated that he will work in accordance with citizens’ expectations and sentiments. Chaudhary was elected with 15,465 votes after entering politics from the social sector. Gururaj Ghimire of the Nepali Congress is his closest rival secured 15,059 votes.

The election officer’s office has not made any official announcements.
