Detention hearing against Sandeep in the rape case is over, order to released shortly

KATHMANDU: On Friday, the detention hearing for cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane, who was arrested on suspicion of raping a minor girl, concluded.
The ongoing detention hearing, which began last Tuesday in the courtroom of Kathmandu District Court Judge Madhanav Prasad Ghimire, concluded today.
The detention order against him is yet to be released.
The case against cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is being debated by District Attorney Krishna Bhandari and private lawyer Shanti Risal Kafle.
The court is currently preparing the case order, and the decision on whether to release or imprison the accused Lamichhane will be made today.
On Oct 31, police charged Lamichhane with raping a 17-year-old girl.
