SURKHET: The sale, distribution, and consumption of alcoholic beverages has been prohibited here until the November 20 elections for members of the House of Representatives and State Assembly.

As the elections approach, Chief District Officer Mukesh Kumar Keshari stated that the sale and consumption of alcohol will be completely prohibited in the district.

Narendra Chand, Chief of the District Police Office, announced that the sale and consumption of alcohol has been prohibited in order to maintain peace and security until the votes are counted.

Public meetings, slogan processions, public gatherings, and other political party programs held in the vicinity of the Krishna temple and the district administration office of Chandannath Municipality will be prohibited during the election period, according to the district administration office.

According to reports, candidates from all political parties in the area have been instructed to strictly adhere to the election code of conduct issued by the Election Commission’s central office.

According to the Chief Election Office, all 54 types of materials, with the exception of ballot papers, have arrived in the district.
