Sandeep’s detention hearing case is unlikely to end today

KATHMANDU: Seven lawyers are detention hearing the case against Sandeep Lamichhane.

As the series of cases continues, the detention hearing in his case is unlikely to end today.

Senior Advocate Sashi Adhikari, Sunita Regmi, Advocate Shanti Kafle, and others were detained today in the Kathmandu District Court while hearing the case against cricketer Lamichhane, who is facing a charge of minor rape.

Sandeep’s statement was taken earlier that evening. The case against Sandeep was kept under review after the statement was taken until Tuesday evening, and a detention hearing was held behind closed doors on Wednesday.

The police launched an investigation against Sandeep based on a complaint of raping a 17-year-old minor girl.
